Attorney G. Alan Tripp, Jr. - Senior Partner practices in the areas of
tort, personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice,
nursing home negligence, products liability, and insurance
coverage disputes. Prior to opening the Tripp Law Firm, P.A. he
worked as a Law Clerk for
Abrahamson, Uiterwyk and Barnes.
He attended
Pensacola
Christian College (Florida) and is a graduate of
Clearwater
Christian College (Florida) earning his B.A. degree in
Interdisciplinary Studies with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude)
and earned his Juris Doctorate at
Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida.
While at Stetson University College of Law, Mr. Tripp was on the
Dean’s List and earned the American Jurisprudence Award for the
highest grade in his section for Advanced Trial Skills. Stetson
University College of Law was once again named the American Bar
Association's School of the Year in 2007. Stetson University
College of Law is Florida’s first law school. It has educated
lawyers for more than a century. The 2008 U.S. News & World
Report national rankings place Stetson among the nation’s top
100 law schools, first in trial advocacy and fifth for legal
writing.
Mr. Tripp continues
to enhance his profession and himself through participation in
professional organizations. He is a member of the Clearwater Bar
Association and St. Petersburg Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in
Florida. He also is a member of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers
Association, The Florida Bar, Florida Justice Association
(Formerly Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers) and the American
Association for Justice (Formerly Academy of Trial Lawyers
Association) and the Christian Legal Society.
Mr. Tripp is committed to serving his community. He provides pro
bono legal services through
Gulf
Coast Legal Services. He also presents seminar materials as
a public service to the community through
Living Will Seminars.
Jason Charles
Tripp – Law Clerk / Investigator
has been a resident of
the Tampa Bay area for almost his entire life. He is a graduate
of
Keswick Christian School in St. Petersburg, Florida. While
attending
St. Petersburg College, he focused his education on law
enforcement. Mr. Tripp has earned an A.A degree, A.S. degree in
Criminal Justice (Summa Cum Laude) and a Bachelor’s of Applied Science degree in
Public Safety Administration with a secondary concentration on
Law Enforcement (Magna Cum Laude). He is also a graduate from
the
Southeastern Public Safety Institute (Police Academy) with
certifications in Law Enforcement and Corrections. Mr. Tripp has
also been certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement
and Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission passing
the required state law enforcement officer examination. He holds
a Class C - private investigators license and is a third year
Dean's List student of the law at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport,
Florida.
His extensive knowledge in law enforcement has allowed him to
assist attorneys in some of the most complex cases. He has
worked for and been employed by several high-profile attorneys
in Pinellas County. He now focuses his energy and efforts on
assisting the attorneys with the required investigation, and
also assists clients with their special needs.
Mr. Tripp’s professional affiliations include the Florida

Trial Lawyers, St. Petersburg Bar Association, Clearwater Bar
Association, and the Hillsborough Bar Association.
Tina Tripp -
Receptionist / Legal Assistant
has been a resident of
Tampa Bay for her entire life. Growing up in South Tampa, she graduated
from H. B. Plant High School. Tina earned her A.A. degree in
Pre-Medicine and A.S. degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from
Hillsborough Community College. She was
a chief nuclear medicine technologist and clinical instructor
for Hillsborough
Community College in Tampa, Florida. In 1992, she completed
a Biblical Counseling Internship at Tampa Bay Theological
Seminary. She serves as a volunteer at
The Hospice
of the Florida Suncoast, and teaches children in AWANA
Sparks Club at her church. She currently works
behind the scenes at Tripp Law Firm making sure the office runs smoothly!
Jamie Tripp -
R.N., B.S.N., Legal Registered Nurse Consultant
has been a resident of Pinellas County her entire life. She is
currently assisting Tripp Law Firm as a legal nurse consultant.
She is finishing her masters degree studies as a Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
at the
University of South Florida.
George A. Tripp, Sr., CCLA, FRP – Firm
Administrator
- has been a resident of the Tampa Bay area for almost forty
years. He is a graduate of H.B. Plant High School in Tampa.
While attending Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, his
continuing education has been focused on insurance, business and
insurance claims law. Mr. Tripp is a former licensed Claims
Adjuster, and is now a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP),
Florida Licensed Private Investigator and holds the professional
designation of Casualty Claims Law Associate (CCLA) from the
American Educational Institute in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
Mr. Tripp began his
professional career with Allstate Insurance Company in Tampa.
He also worked for Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance
Company, and United Services Automobile Association (USAA).
During his wide-ranging insurance career, Mr. Tripp was a
licensed multi-line claims adjuster. He has investigated,
evaluated and settled thousands of insurance claims with
unrepresented claimants or claimants that were represented by
legal counsel. In the early 1980’s when Alternate Dispute
Resolution (ADR) was introduced to the insurance industry, Mr.
Tripp began acting as company representative during the
mediation process. In 1992, he sold the highest number and
dollar volume of structured settlements for his then employer,
USAA. During his extensive insurance claims career, he served
as Claims Supervisor, Claims Manager, Claims Trainer, Senior
Claims Examiner, and was the President of the West Coast Claims
Association. His extensive knowledge in the insurance industry
has allowed him to supervise and direct insurance defense
counsel in civil litigation cases throughout the state of
Florida. Mr. Tripp’s broad range of experience with various
lines of insurance, extensive leadership and training experience
has allowed him to handle some of the most complex and
significant coverage, liability, damage, and extra-contractual
liability claims in the insurance industry.
Since 1993, Mr.
Tripp now uses this extensive knowledge of the insurance
industry to help firm clients in cases and other personal injury
and wrongful death claims. He has worked for and been employed
by several high-profile attorneys in the Tampa Bay area. He
also worked with the Christian Law Association in Seminole,
Florida. He now focuses his energy and effort on assisting the
attorney with investigating the complex issues, medical
preparation, and acts as liaison between the attorney and
client. He also assists clients with their special needs and
oversees all aspects of case development from inception through
resolution.
Mr. Tripp’s
professional affiliations include the American Association for
Justice, formerly known as the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers
and the Tampa Bay Paralegal Association in association with
National Federation of Paralegal Associations. In addition, he
currently serves on the National Advisory Board for Clearwater
Christian College and serves as the Vice-chairman of the
Developmental Review Board for the City of Seminole, Florida.
His charitable or
volunteer work includes serving with Awana Clubs International,
Gulfcoast Legal Services, and Living Will Seminars.
Stephen D.
Peterson – Law Clerk
has lived his entire life in the Tampa Bay area, and is a
third-generation Florida native. He is a graduate with honors
from
Clearwater Christian College, earning his B.S. in Business
Administration and a minor in Accounting. Mr. Peterson is
currently in his third year of earning his Juris Doctorate at
the University
of Florida Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida.
During his time at the Levin College of Law, Mr. Peterson has
been on the Dean’s List, has served as an Article Editor on the
Entertainment Law Review, and was also personally selected to
work as a Teaching Assistant for Professor Betsy Ruff in both
the Legal Research & Writing and Appellate Advocacy classes.
Prior to his time at Tripp Law Firm, Mr. Peterson has furthered
his education by clerking with Chief Judge Langford of Florida’s
10th Judicial
Circuit and working as a Legal Assistant to Gibbs Law Firm.
Mr. Peterson is dedicated to serving his community. He has spent
three years leading a tutoring group to Hope Children’s Home in
Tampa, and has devoted three summers to volunteering at a
non-profit deaf/hearing organization. He is also actively
involved every week in children’s programs at his local church.
Patrick W.
Spoonhour - Firm Representative / Legal Assistant
- has been a
resident of Pinellas County for sixteen years. He holds a degree
in Aeronautical Sciences from the
College
of the Air Force.
Mr. Spoonhour has worked in the health insurance industry as a
representative, field underwriter and District Manager. He also
has worked for both Tenet Healthcare and Orthopaedic Associates
of West Florida performing the duties of insurance collections,
contract auditing, and billing.
For the past five years he has worked as a legal assistant and
firm representative. Mr. Spoonhour serves his community as
Awana
leader, and is involved in Florida camp ministries dealing with
facility renovations.
